In February’s second COE tender, prices for the Certificates of entitlement (COE) for new cars up to 1600cc dropped by over $8800.
Other categories saw changes ranging from $234 for Cat B vehicles above 1600cc to $2980 for the Cat E Open. The Goods Vehicle & Bus category saw a price correction of $1,500.
Some speculate that the drop is due to impeding reviews on the re-categorising of the COEs. The price correction has brought COE prices for Cat A vehicles similar to bid prices in December 2012.
